Juliette is an endurance cyclist based on the South Coast. When she is not working, she spends many hours a week covering the trails of the South Downs Way on her mountain bike or notching up many hundreds of km’s on the road. She has been a part of the HotChillee family since 2010, with whom she has ridden countless editions of London-Paris, Cape Rouleur, Alpine Challenge and HCCC Dolomites and she is now the head Ride Captain.

In early 2017 Juliette was introduced to RawVelo and she has been a disciple ever since. The organic energy bars became an integral part of her fuelling strategy for London-Edinburgh-London, a 1440K Audax that she completed in 101 hours.

“As an athlete in my 50s, looking to perform at the highest level, I am acutely aware of what I need to stay fit and healthy. This has to start with what I put in my body and the ingredients used by RawVelo are second to none. What’s even more impressive is that they taste good too! When you are faced with consecutive days of riding for more than 15 hours, the standard fuelling rules often go out of the window, even the best trained digestive system will start to grumble under this duress. Yet even on my 4th day of LEL, these bars remained my on-the-go staple and fuelled me right to the end.”

In 2018 Juliette will return to South Africa, has events planned in the mountains in European and will again lead the HotChillee Ride Captain team on their flagship London to Paris event. She also intends to ride London-Wales-London in a day, plus a number of 600K weekends. As a rough target she may hit 24,000K for the year!
